Why our raw blondies are a great vegan snack?
Packing 10g of complete plant-based protein per bar, our new raspberry and vanilla protein blondies are the perfect afternoon pick me up, pre/post gym snack or delicious just to enjoy alongside a good cuppa!
Plus they're made from all natural ingredients, with no added sugar or artificial sweeteners- simply super tasty plant-based goodness! 100% ground vanilla (which tastes divine) and freeze dried raspberries add sweetness, whilst smooth peanut butter and dates provide that soft, gooey texture we love in every raw bar! They satisfy that sweet tooth whilst still helping to manage blood sugar levels and prevent a spike and that dreaded sugar crash.
Where does my plant based protein come from?
Pea Protein Isolate
We love using pea protein as a key ingredient in our raw bars as it provides high quality, vegan protein and is naturally gluten free. It has some great additional health benefits too such as being iron rich, a source of the amino acid lysine which is essential for building connective tissue like skin and bones, and it's a low glycemic food so helps maintain blood sugar levels and keeps you fuller for longer.
Perfect for helping to bind raw bars and add protein, plus we only use 100% peanut butter with no added ingredients. Not only is it creamy and delicious, peanut butter is also great for heart health as it's a source of vitamin E and healthy fats which can help maintain good cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugars thereby lowering the risk of heart disease.
Oats are a fantastic addition to a healthy plant-based diet as they're loaded with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. They are rich in manganese which helps the development of healthy bones, brain function, relieve inflammation and regulate sugar levels!
